Our home is beautifully dusted with white this morning! The backyard looks like it was sprinkled with powdered sugar-what a treat.
I grew up higher in the foothills of California. In my youth snow days and backyard snowball fights were common occurrences. We have lived in our current area for five years. This is the third time it has snowed. This past spring we moved seven minutes and about six hundred feet up in elevation (to 1450). That extra elevation has brought us snow twice in the last three weeks. Yippee! My heart thrills everytime it snows. It brings out the little kid in me. Last night we kept the patio light on all evening, so we could look outside and see the flakes falling.
When I was a kid my mom used to make snow ice cream for dessert. Do any of you in snow country have any fun snow traditions with your kids?
