The past several days I have deliberately left the computer off until late in the afternoon. I have noticed I get so much more accomplished with the computer off! I had a slight (okay, maybe a bit more than slight) idea that the computer was sucking away my time, but I really had no idea how much.
My mornings have been far more productive without the distractions of free cell and quiddler. School is getting done with far more efficiency, the house is tidier, and I am more cheerful. So I am going to make a rule for myself, published here: no computer before lunchtime. Hopefully, my family will continue to benefit from me being far less distracted.
